I make drum loops from the Naked Drum sessions with massive effects so that they're completely unrecognizable for hiphop and electronica styles of music. I apply SoundReplacer to change the drum sounds and create completely new drum sets. I also create new beats with the single hits."

"The arresting title of MultiLoops' drum loop libraries points out the company's underlying design philosophy. Naked Drums are the drum tracks you wouold record if you had an expensive studio and a rock-solid drummer at your disposal every time you wanted to write a song. The collection currently boasts three volumes: Rock Vol. 1 ($149.95), Pop R&B ($149.95), and Odd-Time Grooves ($249.95). The first two titles are Acid 3.0-compatible.

"Each volume in the collection contains hundreds of grooves in various tempos recorded as 24-bit, 44.1k kHz Pro Tools files. Since the files are already tempo mapped, it is very simple to find the groove you want and start overdubbing. Independent tracks allow you to mix the drums any way you want or even to use Sound Replacer to change sounds while maintaining a human feel. Single hits are also included to create your own fills and grooves. A generic reverb is even built inot the Pro Tools session for those songwriters who want to get started right away.

"The sounds on Naked Drums are well recorded. It is pretty easy to set up a beat and start grooving, and there are a lot of interesting grooves from which to choose. Constructing a more sophisticated song form entails some cutting and pasting, but it's not too difficult. Changing the recorded tempo requires the use of Beat Detective or Recycle. As a songwriting tool, Naked Drums is simple and solid with very natural live drum sounds."
